Jo Torr colourwork sock Barbican

Pattern: £5 (+ VAT)

This toe-up sock with a traditional heel flap and gusset, has a simple and easily remembered pattern. Use contrasting colours for best effect, maybe playing with a semi-solid or a gradient for one of the choices.

Instructions for the colourwork pattern are both charted and fully written out so you can choose which you prefer. The colourwork chart is in grey and white to make it easier to read.

Sizes – measured around mid-foot

  • Small – 7″/17.75cm
  • Medium – 8″/20.25cm
  • Large – 9″/22.75cm
  • Extra Large – 10″/25.5cm

Yarn Requirements

For all sizes I would suggest 100g of main colour; for the contrast you should be fine with just 50g, unless you are making a large (or long) sock, in which case you may be safer with 100g of each.

I used Scheepjes Invicta Extra and Regia 4-fadig Color for the sample.
